Paul W. Scarborough is the Manager and Senior Negotiator of Anchor Legal Group, PLLC’s Department of Distress Relief. Paul has a strong ethical belief that foreclosures should always be avoided. He has spent over a decade helping Virginia homeowners find a line of action away from foreclosure.

Born and raised in Virginia Beach, Paul is a third-generation beach local. He earned his BA at Hampden-Sydney College, where he studied English literature and philosophy. Proceeding his college studies, Paul spent time teaching English as a second language in Spain. He worked in the mountains of Colorado and the coastal communities of California, returning home to begin his career helping distressed homeowners. Paul’s reputation as one of the best in the field of foreclosure prevention is well known throughout the Hampton Roads real estate community.

In 2022, Paul merged over from Pittman & Associates to Anchor Legal Group, PLLC, where he not only continues to help borrowers and homeowners in their time of need, but can also expand his reach to more individuals who need his particular skill set. Since 2010, Paul has assisted over 3,000 homeowners in avoiding foreclosure and worked with many mortgage servicers, investors, debt collectors, and foreclosure attorneys in the Mid-Atlantic. He prides himself on his work ethic and ability to use critical thinking to find a solution to just about any problem his clients may face.

In his spare time, Paul enjoys volunteering in his community for causes that benefit the arts, the environment, and those in need. His hobbies include surfing, biking, spending time with his chocolate lab Pippa, and just about anything outdoors with his close friends.
